Works well overall, but dot goes out every once in a while intermittently. Vortex will probably replace free of charge without resistance, but it is still annoying, especially if you are using it for competition and it ruins a match/day for you. Definitely not battle tough, but probably about what I’d expect for a mid-range reflex red dot, in terms of quality. I have 4 of these, 1 is flakey, other 3 seem to work pretty well.

All I can say is wow! Did a lot of research on many red dots for my new integral suppressed 10/22 and wasn’t afraid to spend money. This sight is extremely well made, accurate and very small. It also comes with a molded cover which I find a added bonus. Once sighted in there is a lock screw that prevents windage and elevation movement. My only recommendation is adjustment turrets that can be turned without a tiny allen wrench. Other than that its perfect. For the $ you can beat this product and this is my third Vortex purchase…scope and binoculars which I would also recomend. Peter Z

Great optic for the money. Be advised to tighten the screws that are on the optic connecting the rail mount. I have it on a Benelli M4 and blue lock righted the mount and then noticed the optic was coming off of the rail.

Like most enthusiasts, I really want not only my moneys worth but, buy once, cry once has been my mantra. I have tried Leupold, Burris, etc. Well, you can keep them all. This Vortex Razor is hands down the best value and is a great piece of gear. With Leupold all I got was a “flare” on the dot whenever I went outside, Burris has too small a window. The Razor is worth every penny. Don’t look any further. This is THE red dot sight you want. Just click it!

The sight itself seems to be o.k. It was floating around loose in the package, the package was not sealed. It was as if it was a demo model or something as it did not seem to be “new in box” condition. I have not been able to go to the range yet and see if it is accurate or not

For what it is it’s a great optic, priced a few hundred below the competition. Ergonomically it works for me and the perfomance is there. Wish list? Get rid of the auto shut off at 6hrs or change it to 24 or something. Also add some dimmer settings for low light/NVG. Blacken the edges of the glass. The 6 MOA dot size and brightness work well for a daytime close range optic. I have used vortex warranty once when the PSTs were released. Communication was poor…they simply fixed the problem and shipped the scope back without any hassles whatsoever!
Long term slide mount ruggedness is an unknown. I will reserve judgement. The ideal duty primary optic would have a protected emitter and a quick release mount, and BUIS. YMMV.

I am regular visitor, how are you everybody? This piece of writing posted at this site is
in fact good.

Excellent red dot scope – easy to mount and to zero in. The off switch – hold down ‘down button’ is a bit of a pain, otherwise well constructed.

The good:
– Great quality
– Small
– Visible reticle
The Bad:
– The auto shut off is not long enough and the description did not mention anything about this at the time of purchasing. – The top two screws loosened up after 60 shots
– Very difficult to turn on and off – Buttons are close to the lens and required a firm push
– Need to carry around a tiny allen key to adjust left/right/up/down/lock
All the bad issues could be very easily fixed! So there’s hope. But for now, looking at something motion activated or that never goes off

You get what you pay for here. Quality and built for the most abusive use. The window is one on the more larger windows on the market which makes acquiring the red dot fast and eaiser. The many different brightness settings makes it very easy to see in any lighting situation. Even in the most brightest Nevada sunny days, this red dot stands out and does not wash out. I have this mounted on a Walther PPQ Q5 Match pistol. This is an outstanding sight that so far matches equally in quality and ruggedness with the Trijicon RMR. I have both sights and I like the Vortex Razor better because of the larger window for dot acquisition.
